Will Private Property Market Lose Steam in 2013? Singapore’s economy averted a technical recession growing 1.8% quarter-on-quarter in the last quarter of 2012. Private property prices have also increased 1.8% in the same quarter a 2.8% increase for the full year. This is the smallest price increase since 2009, a result of 6 rounds of cooling measures introduced in the last few years to cool the red hot property market and with more sites for development sold to meet demand.
