Nina, 21, lives every day with her parents and a sibling, and learns how completely the dynamics of a family (the loneliness, the camaraderie) can dominate her being. Nina is caught between the love of 2 incredible men, Budi and Jamal. Budi, Nina’s boyfriend, does not go out so often with Nina because he secretly likes to entertain his friends at the pub. He spends a lot of time at work. Ironically, Nina enjoys his company. It is the typical "I see what I wanted in my boyfriend in someone else", but of course Nina does not understand much of it at the moment. One day, Nina is jolted by a sharp pain under her arm pit. She quickly goes to see a doctor and has a biopsy done after her mammogram showed some suspicious findings. When the biopsy results were finally given to her – she is told it is positive. But, since the breast cancer is at an early stage, she has a great hope it can be cured. She is told by the doctor the cancer cells are in the upper levels of the lymph nodes in the armpit but the nodes are not stuck to the surrounding tissues. Nina goes for a surgery and survives. Upon knowing Nina has cancer, Budi keeps himself away from her. Jamal is there supporting her. Besides her family, Jamal is her pillar of strength. He does seem to make her really happy. Nina thinks she is lucky to have one person who loves her. Nina’s parents are fighting for a divorce...
